Bishop Kelley High School will recognize the accomplishments of four alumni at the Third Annual Lasallian Founder's Awards Banquet this fall.
From online nominations made by members of the BK community, the school will select a Distinguished Alumni Award winner. In addition, an alumnus will be recognized for Service to the Poor and Social Justice; another alumnus will receive the award for Commitment to Quality Education; the fourth award will be the Young Alumni award for those age 35 and under.
Bishop Kelley invites members of the BK community to nominate alumni for these four awards. Nominations for 2020 are due by June 1, 2020. (Previous nominations will carry over for consideration this year.)
The awards banquet highlights the mission of St. John Baptist De La Salle, founder of the Christian Brothers, and the five core principals of the Lasallian Mission – Faith in the Presence of God, Quality Education, Concern for the Poor and Social Justice, Respect for All Persons, and Inclusive Community.
“We encourage the Bishop Kelley community to nominate outstanding alumni who are deserving of these awards,” said Doug Thomas, BK’s Director of Philanthropy. “The online nomination process is fairly simple and is designed to encourage the recognition and honoring of alumni and faculty who contributed to the success of Bishop Kelley High School and have accomplished great achievements in their respective fields.”
In early September, Bishop Kelley will send out an email inviting alumni, parents of alumni, and friends of the school to attend the banquet. If you have not updated your email address with the BK alumni office, please update your information here.
