Bishop Kelley High School named Jerryd Nelson of McAlester, OK as the new Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Nelson comes to Bishop Kelley from McAlester High School
where he spent the past three years as Director of Athletic Performance, Assistant Varsity Football Coach, and a member of the faculty. Prior to his time at McAlester High School,
Nelson served as Director of Athletic Performance and in several other athletic and faculty roles at Little Axe High School in Norman, OK.
Nelson brings his experience as Strength and Conditioning Intern at the University of Kansas and the University of New Mexico football programs and his personal experience on
the field as a collegiate football player for Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Haskell Indian Nations University. Nelson is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a certified Level 1 USA Weightlifting Coach.

helping all of our coaches and athletes find success throughout the year."
Bishop Kelley’s Athletic Department serves 550 to 600 athletes each year across 20 varsity
sports. Bishop Kelley was founded in 1960 as a Catholic, Lasallian high school, owned by the
Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulsa. The school’s 53-acre campus is located just off I-44 at the
