Bishop Kelley Hires Taylor Henderson as Assistant Athletic Trainer

Bishop Kelley High School is expanding their Athletic Training department with the addition of Taylor Henderson as Assistant Athletic Trainer. Taylor comes to Bishop Kelley from Select Physical Therapy in Ada, OK where she spent the past academic year as Head Athletic Trainer for Ada High School. Prior to her time at Ada High School, Henderson provided athletic training coverage to small schools in the Ada area, provided treatment to OKC Thunder referees, and completed clinical experiences at Emporia State University and Southwestern College. Henderson is a nationally certified athletic trainer.

“I am elated to add Taylor Henderson to our Athletic Department staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer,” remarked Bishop Kelley Athletic Director Lance Parks. “She has an impressive background and an obvious desire to keep our student-athletes safe and healthy as they compete. Bishop Kelley continues to make strides as a school to improve the experience of our students and families. This hire is a prime example of our commitment to BK’s student-athletes.”

Bishop Kelley’s Athletic Department serves 550 to 600 athletes each year across 20 varsity sports. Head Athletic Trainer Alicia Berry also expressed her excitement about the hire. “Taylor will be a huge asset to the Athletic Training and Athletic departments. Creating this assistant athletic trainer position allows us to reach greater lengths and give a more inclusive service to all our student athletes,” She explained. “More importantly our student-athletes will have two medical professionals they can turn to in time of need. A school our size is fortunate to have one full-time athletic trainer on staff, and adding another athletic trainer truly sets us apart.”
