Snapp Family Student Investment Group

The purpose of this club is twofold:

  1. Teach students the values of proper investing, get students engaged in the market, help students prepare, follow, study trends, and engage in active research within the sectors of the S&P.
  2. Develop a viable fund that grows over time to create an endowment for the benefit of the Bishop Kelley Community and those the community assists.

We have divided members into subcommittees assigned to the sectors of the S&P to conduct research within each sector and report to the club on a monthly basis.

Currently, 26 students participate in this club. Our plan is to grow the club with a detailed plan and through student involvement.  We have split the students into subcommittees covering each sector of the S&P:

    • Energy
    • Materials
    • Consumer Staples
    • Consumer Discretionary
    • Industrials
    • Health Care
    • Financials
    • Information Technology
    • Telecommunications
    • Utilities
    • Real Estate

We also have a subcommittee with a focus on emerging markets.
