Bishop Kelley High School offers a comprehensive guidance program for each student that involves academic advisement, personal counseling, and college advisement.

Academic advisement begins early freshman year when each student meets with a counselor to formulate a four-year plan of study. At any time students may meet with their counselor to review current courses and plan for future ones.

Personal counseling is offered to students in crisis or in need of assistance with personal issues. If the counselor determines that a student’s issues go beyond the scope of Bishop Kelley’s services, then a referral may be made to outside community agencies.

College advisement begins the moment students enter Bishop Kelley High School. Students also have complete access to the College Resource Room and two college counselors. All Juniors, in the spring semester, meet their college counselor, create a transcript account, and begin conversations about graduation goals. Junior parents will be invited to attend an information session regarding expectations for their soon-to-be high school Senior.
